• Dusty Elmore

    Senior Minister

Dusty was raised in Missouri, coming from a family of seven preachers.  He was trained to love the church and the service of the Lord.  His first part-time preaching ministry began in October of 1997 while still in school at St. Louis Christian College.  Dusty's hands-on ministry training came from preaching eighteen years at Red Brush Christian Church in Louisville, IL.

"With twenty years of preaching/ministry experience, I am excited for this new chapter at Journey Christian Church.  Soul-winning is my passion.  As a young child, my favorite hymn was 'Seeking the Lost'.  God placed that burden on my heart from the time of my earliest memories.  The burden became an adventure that I liken to searching for hidden treasure!  I have also discovered that there are blessings which are unlocked when evangelism becomes a Christian's driving-force (see Philemon 6 - seriously, look it up now).  My wife, Andrea, and three children are all amazing co-workers in God's kingdom, each gifted in wonderful and quirky ways.  They remind me daily of the beautiful variety created by our fun-loving God!"  - Dusty
