"With twenty years of preaching/ministry experience, I am excited for this new chapter at Journey Christian Church.  Soul-winning is my passion.  As a young child, my favorite hymn was 'Seeking the Lost'.  God placed that burden on my heart from the time of my earliest memories.  The burden became an adventure that I liken to searching for hidden treasure!  I have also discovered that there are blessings which are unlocked when evangelism becomes a Christian's driving-force (see Philemon 6 - seriously, look it up now).  My wife, Andrea, and three children are all amazing co-workers in God's kingdom, each gifted in wonderful and quirky ways.  They remind me daily of the beautiful variety created by our fun-loving God!"

Dale Crowell

Executive Pastor

"I graduated from Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) in 1988 with a degree in Bible and a minor in Homiletics.  I spent 25+ years with BP Oil Co. and retired in 2014.  During those years I was an active member and lay leader in the local church.  After retiring I started my second career as the Athletic Director at Cherokee Christian School, eventually moving into the Director of Operations Role.  God opened the door for me to come on staff full time at Journey as Executive Pastor, and I am very excited about the marvelous work that God has been doing here at JCC. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in the future.  I have been married to my wife Lori for 35 years and we have 5 adult children."

David mccullough

"I am humbled and honored to be on staff at Journey. I come from a heavy corporate background and look forward to transitioning into ministry and service to God.  My wife, Christie, and I have been married for 23 years.  We adopted our amazing son Adrian when he was 6 years old and he will soon be 14.  Foster and Adopt is near and dear to our hearts and we love supporting this ministry at Journey.  My goal for Journey is to continue in God’s service to the local and international community through outreach and mission giving. I believe that Jesus calls for us to be in service to our neighbors through loving kindness.  Eventually, I believe, we will have knocked on every door in the surrounding area offering uncompromising prayer."

"Simply, I believe that God is using the younger generation to change the world - each with their own roar that will free the oppressed and terrify the enemy. The lies of this world may be loud, but the truth of God speaks volumes. My life has served as a testimony and proof that what God has done for me, He will do for others.


I graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration from Crown College in 2018 then traveled overseas with Adventures in Missions to 11 countries in 11 months. I struck gold and met Mya on that missions trip and immediately fell in love. She is the most beautiful and caring person I have ever met. We got married in 2020 and quickly packed our bags for Mijas, Spain. In Spain we attended a Leadership Academy called Generation 42. There we practiced living out the Acts 2 church in community. "Nothing makes me happier than spending time with children.  Whether I’m teaching at a local school, serving at church, or hanging out at home with my  grands, I never tire of their sense of adventure and joy of discovery in God’s created world .  I met and married my husband, Dale, 34 years ago while at Johnson University where I graduated with a double major in Bible and elementary education. We have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.  Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them”.  It is an honor to share Jesus with children and their families and watch their trust and love for him grow.  If you would like to be a part of our journey with Jesus, join us on the children’s ministry team!"

"I started leading worship at a summer church camp called Affirm in 2003. At this camp, I learned leading worship was not a performance but a way for everyone to use the Holy Spirit to make a Joyful Noise. In 2012, I joined the Church of the Messiah as the Youth Pastor, and in 2015, I started leading Worship again. I could not keep time, and the band refused to play many songs with me. I was getting in the way of the Lord’s music. Once I got out of the way, God took over! Over the years, I have learned we are all called to serve the Lord. Our Worship Team is doing just that - serving! I would love to connect with you about serving on the Worship team."
